



Staff
Denise Larsson, (English) Head Teacher has been with
us from the start and in our employ since August 1991. She holds a
bachelor of Education degree from the University of Birmingham, England
and has been working with preschool and primary children in England,
Iran, Iraq and Sweden since 1972.
Helen Lundholm-Speakman, (English) full time preschool
assistant at Humpty Dumpty since February 1993, with responsibility for
the Toddler Group, is from England and has working with preschool
children in private homes and schools 1983. Helen holds a degree in art
and ceramics from the University of South Illinois.
Angelia Conley, (American) fulltime preschool
assistant at Humpty Dumpty since November 2008. Angelia has previous
experience working with preschool children in the States, as well as
nanny experience. She has studied criminal justice at California State
University of Fresno and Indiana University. After spending 5 years
working with troubled youth in a juvenile facility she realized that
working with children is her true passion and has since committed to
working with younger children in their earlier stages of development.
Anu Kotamäki, (Finnish)
fulltime preschool teacher at Humpty Dumpty since January 2010. Anu has
graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Social services with a
qualification of kindergarten teacher from a Finnish university of
applied sciences. Has been working with preschool aged children since
year 2006 throughout her studies, in preschool, family and residential
care settings. After completing her degree she was determined to work
with children, and Humpty Dumpty has held a special place in her heart
ever since her first internship there.
Valentina Kimily Jones, (American) full time preschool assistant at Humpty Dumpty since January 2010. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and the History of Art and Visual Culture from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She has been working with preschool and school age children for over three years and has provided support for families with special needs. She arrived in Sweden in December 2008 and began her work as a preschool assistant at an English nursery in Gothenburg before moving to Stockholm and joining us at Humpty Dumpty.

The nursery encourages teachers to participate in further educational studies of specific interest to the school, such as bilingual studies or developments within early years education. English speaking student teachers are also welcome to gather experience within the nursery group. In 1996 Humpty Dumpty was chosen to represent Östermalm in the annual awards for high quality childcare in Stockholm.
